Legislators Discuss Many Issues at Town Hall Chat

On Thursday, April 20 at the Best Western Conference Center, Sheridan County Republicans hosted a Patriot Town Hall Chat with several of the legislators, Bo Biteman, Ken Pendergraft, Clarence Styvar, Mark Jennings and Barry Crago.
Bryan Miller, Sheridan County Republican Chairman, introduced the speakers and referenced a pamphlet that was available for attendees to pick up concerning the current issue of library books in Sheridan County schools.
There was also a presentation to Jackie Harrod, who is retiring as secretary for the Sheridan County Republicans. Miller said she has been the secretary for many years.

The legislators each gave a brief talk about the legislative session and interim meetings starting now. One current issue is property taxes, and Biteman said.
He also talked about voters, and how they have to be informed about who they are voting for to get the best representation for their county.
He also talked about a bill that banned chemical abortions in Wyoming.

Pendergraft also talked about property tax relief. He is also on the transportation committee, and he talked as well as snow removal in Wyoming and said this about the past winter.

Also discussed was the passing of the anti-red flag law, and a bill to bar transgender women and girls in Wyoming from participating in high school and collegiate sports that match their gender identity.
Another topic was Wyoming lands, and Cargo added this,
The group also discussed Education Savings Accounts, so that parents who are frustrated with public schools and what to home school or put their children in private schools should be granted the money to do so.
Biteman also talked ESG, which stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance investing and refers to a set of standards used by socially conscious investors.
Miller also mentioned that Harriet Hageman U.S. Representative, will be available to meet with people and hear their concerns on April 25 in Ranchester from 10 to 6:30 p.m.
A good crowd attended the event.

Clarence Styvar is from Laramie County. Why would he be speaking at a Sheridan County event ? He doesn’t represent you, unless you live in Laramie County and come to Sheridan County Republican Party meetings, which doesn’t make a lot of sense.
