SPD Investigating Pedestrian Fatality

At 12:17 pm Wednesday, officers with the Sheridan Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian at the intersection of North Main Street and West 5th Street. According to a media release from the SPD, a 66-year-old female was reportedly struck by a vehicle as she was crossing east on North Main Street. The female, who was not from Wyoming, was transported to Sheridan Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The male driver of the vehicle that struck the victim is participating in the Sheridan Police Department investigation. This investigation is active. No further information will be provided at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
