SPD asks public for any possible footage of fatal incident

The Sheridan Police Department is asking the public to share any camera footage that may exist of an event that led to the death of an Australian woman.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, SPD Captain Tom Ringley asked any residents in the area of the intersection of North Main Street and West 5th Street.

At 12:17 pm Wednesday, officers with the Sheridan Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian at the intersection of North Main Street and West 5th Street. According to the SPD, a 66-year-old female was reportedly struck by a vehicle as she was crossing east on North Main Street. The female was transported to Sheridan Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
