The WYO Performing Arts & Education Center has announced December will be a magical month featuring two talented locals. John Rotellini and AJ Longhurst will present “Amazing Meets Extraordinary: The Magic Returns” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8.
Rotellini and Longhurst bring their own magical experience to the stage, rooted in theater. The WYO Theater lists the performers as a WYO specialty.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Longhurst told audiences it’s the amazement and awe on the faces of his audiences that inspire him and keep him performing magic. Performing in larger venues is a treat for Longhurst, but the ability to perform an illusion mere inches or feet from the eyes of an audience and walking away without knowing how the trick was done, leaves people with a sense of wonder.
To achieve this close-up magic, the WYO Theater will feature a special screen for the “Amazing Meets Extraordinary: The Magic Returns” as well as stream it online.
The WYO Theater invites the public to buy a ticket and take a seat this week when Longhurst and Rotellini join forces and brighten the faces of children and adults alike, proving to us all, magic is real.
