JCSD#1 Board Approves SCSD#3 Transportation Request

The Johnson County School Board has approved a request from Sheridan County School District #3 to continue operating a bus route in JCSD1 territory to pick up Buffalo-area students that attend Arvada-Clearmont School.

During discussions by the board, JCSD1 Superintendent Charles Auzqui said that both districts in both communities have students that attend the other’s schools.

Auzqui said the situation has always been what is best for the students when deciding where they should attend school.

According to the letter from SCSD#3, the districts have worked together to provide this service and a great education for the children of Johnson and Sheridan Counties for the last 20+ years.

SCSD#3 is expecting 20 to 25 students from Johnson County to attend school at Arvada-Clearmont this coming year.
