
Water sporting enthusiasts and those seeking to fish Wyoming’s waters, the aquatic invasive species check stations in the region are now open for the season.
The AIS inspection site at the Sheridan Rest Area hours are Thursdays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m and Northeast Wyoming Welcome Center near Beulah (I-90, exit 199) hours are Friday noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Public Information Specialist Christina Schmidt informed listeners those hours will expand as the season progresses.
All watercraft traveling into the state from March 1, through Nov. 30, must be inspected prior to launching in Wyoming. That includes craft that do not have a motor.
If you need a watercraft inspection outside of the open check station hours, please check the Game and Fish website for other authorized locations or call the Sheridan Regional Office at 307-672-7418 to make an appointment.
