Kendrick Mansion way too many trees, and no where for room to accommodate all who wanted to come. If they’re losing the BHEC they need someplace that can handle all of the vehicles and people that it has done for so long…as well as be an open place with no trees and buildings and be a place a firetruck and ambulance can park by the person setting the fuses….
Benjamin Franklin once said: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” (The NSA anyone?)
I told my wife this holiday, I’d like to live in a country that’s free.
It was mildly ironic this 4th of July. We celebrate freedom. Without certain freedoms. The county banned fireworks. They banned even the possession of them! Now fireworks might not be a essential liberty. But what country are we living in? A career bureaucrat, tells the County commissioners to ban them. When it’s rained a lot this year, it was greener then last year, it literally rained a down pour, two hours before dusk on the Fourth of July. And we personally would of had two firemen where we wanted to have fireworks. But this year, The bureaucrats and the Sheridan County commissioners know better than you do, about your own safety. They issue a one size fits all. And didn’t take into account I might know my safety better. They “allow” other places to put on a show. If it was safe to set off fireworks at a show, it was safe for other people. And yes, other people might take as many precautions as the “professionals”.
But don’t worry folks, next year they might allow it on Juneteenth the new Independence Day.
As we rapidly dissolved into authoritarianism. My argument is simple. If you want to be free, vote these people out of office. And if we don’t vote them out. to quote the new regime “ just be happy hotdogs are $.16 cheaper this year, you peasants“. (That’s tongue in cheek for where we’re headed)

Arvada: Lotsa space for parking,, no trees, couple of buildings, and the place could use some business.
