Sheridan internet sales tax yields strong numbers

Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger told listeners on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse that internet sales tax revenues are much better than originally projected.
Although Bridger prefers to promote shopping locally, he is pleased to see very positive internet sales tax numbers.
During the budget process last year, city leadership was advised to make adjustments in response to a possible drop in revenue due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The City reports that year to date, January 2021 sales and use tax is up 6% over the same time in 2020. Internet sales tax year to date is up 47.8% over January 2020.
