Mountain Bike Discovery Night with Antelope Butte Foundation and SCLT at Red Grade Trails Sept. 16 and 18

The Antelope Butte Foundation and Sheridan Community Land Trust are moving discovery nights to Red Grade Trails for two Mountain Bike Discovery Nights this September.
The nights are free and family-friendly. The community nights will feature a tips and tricks clinic as part of the ride for people who are new to mountain biking or any rider who wishes to hone their mountain biking skills. There will also be rides for intermediate-skilled and experienced riders.
Mountain Bike Discovery Nights are a great way to ride with and get to know people in your community who also enjoy riding bikes, according to SCLT director of marketing Chris Vrba.
Mountain Bike Discovery Nights are scheduled for the following dates:
Wednesday, Sept. 9 – Red Grade Trails – Meet at Base Trailhead Parking Lot at 5:45 p.m. Ride at 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 19 – Red Grade Trails – Meet at Base Trailhead Parking Lot at 4 p.m.
Helmets required for all rides. Rides will last about two hours.
The SCLT is also looking for ride instructors, asking people to share their passion and experience as a ride leader. The discovery rides are a great opportunity to help grow the community for an outdoor activity you love, according to Vrba.
All groups will have multiple ride leaders, and all beginner-group instructors will receive a list of tips and tricks they can cover with the group. Passion and an eagerness to help people learn is the only requirement, according to Vrba.
