Wildlife blinds for the public to view wildlife along the Buffalo Trails System, could become a reality in the near future, if approved by the city council.

Zac Sexton brought the idea before the council at their last meeting, asking for permission to pursue the idea of a semi-permanent structure that could bring in wildlife aficionados from all over the country, he said.

The Buffalo Trails Board, whois excited about the idea, have said they will provide labor and materials for the structure and the blind material, and the rentals could be handled through another entity such as the chamber of commerce or a retail establishment.

Sexton said the area of the trail where they would like to put the blind is somewhere between the Klondike Bridge and the Wyoming Veterans Home.

The proposed project is in the very early planning stages, and the council asked for more information from Sexton and the Trails Board before giving final approval, but the council said they weren’t opposed to the idea.
