JCHC Latest Information on COVID-19
The Johnson County Healthcare Center is urging those in the community to seek necessary care during this COVID-19 crisis.
They ask that patients call the clinic or hospital prior to arriving if ill, or come to the emergency room for an actual health emergency.
All major services are available at JCHC, except for postponing elective surgeries and utilizing telehealth for certain primary care services in order to conserve critical supplies and slow spread of the virus.
When coming to JCHC, patients will undergo screening at all entrances for coronavirus symptoms. Our dedicated team ensures our facilities undergo high-level disinfection around the clock.
The healthcare center has performed 38 total tests and is testing more people in its COVID Evaluation Clinic.
JCHC has applied for a Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program loan to protect its labor force and stabilize financially during COVID-19.
JCHC continues to conserve critical supplies during the outbreak, and are waiting for multiple large quantity orders for personal protective equipment.
Johnson County School District is 3D printing face shields and mask clips. They also 3D printed prototype filter masks.
Local residents are making reusable protective gowns and reusable cloth facemasks.

The blood drive originally scheduled for April 20th at the Johnson County Fairgrounds has been canceled due to decreased demand for blood products in the region during COVID-19.
