Pat BlairSheridan County School District 3, which operates schools in the Arvada-Clearmont area, is working on a plan to provide food for families of children in the area that need help with meals.
District 3 Superintendent Charles Auzqui said because of its remoteness, District 3 isn’t part of the national lunch program.
He said the idea will be to provide the food to the families, then the families can prepare the meals on their own.
He said the idea is for the district to have the plan ready to initiate when school resumes next month. He said the district has no federal guidelines to follow.
