Paul Anthony Daniels earned his angel wings on December 11, 2020. After a month-long battle with Covid-19, he succumbed to the virus but not without a valiant fight. Paul had won many battles over cancer in his short time here on earth and was currently in another, leaving him compromised to the virus.
Paul leaves behind his lovely wife of 33 years, Melody, and his two beautiful daughters, Madison Carter (Brad) and Taylor Dixon (Spencer). Paul was most recently blessed with a grandson, Brodie Paul Dixon. Paul spoke daily about Brodie and how he was the highlight of 2020 for him. Paul loved his family more than life itself.

Paul grew up in Dayton Wy and attended Tongue River High School. While in high school he joined the ROTC and later the National Guard concluding active service in the Army 82 Airborne Division. Paul spent most of his military time in Germany and in North Carolina where he met and married his wife Melody.

Paul spent a short time working in Washington DC working for Senator Alan Simpson while he was attending George Mason Law School where he earned his law degree, is licensed in both Virginia and NC. Paul continued to work as an attorney in North Carolina until his death.

Paul cared deeply for others, gave freely of himself, and he never met a stranger, just a friend he hadn’t made yet. He was the one you leaned on, the one you celebrated with, and the one you could ALWAYS count on.

He loved to travel and learn new things. Paul was an avid reader, he was like talking to an encyclopedia, full of knowledge, and willing to share.

His passing has left a hole that will never be filled but our memories of his strength, his love for God, Family, and Country, his laughter (especially at an off-color joke), his intelligence, and his genuine generosity will always be with us and in that way, Paul will too.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother Jeannette Daniels, his stepfather Dan Daniels, father in law Peter Outlaw, and his brother in law, Jim Shassetz.

Paul is survived by his wife and children. His father Walter Powers (the lovely Mrs. P. Marion), his mother in law Doris Outlaw and father in law Keith Worth(Rozlyn), his brothers and sisters, Dan Daniels (Wendy), Danielle Daniels, Duane Daniels (Goshia), Jenifer Shassetz, Darlene Daniels(Baba), Marion Keidel, Margaret Clerico, Kristiana Powers, Caroline Bocwinski (Michael) And many nieces and nephews that he held dearly.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the American Cancer Society or to Cone Health Covid 19 Support Fund @ https://p2p.onecause.com/conehealth-covid19/challenge, in Paul’s memory.
