Jessie Rose Pruett Matthews

Jessie Rose (Pruett) Matthews, 46, Sheridan resident, passed away at the Billings Clinic on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Billings, MT.

Born Jessie Rose Pruett on July 13, 1979, in Sheridan, WY. Jessie was beautiful inside and out. She loved all animals and had many lifelong friends.

Jessie attended schools in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School. She attended online classes for Integrative Nutritional Counseling for a year, graduating top of her class. Later on, she attended True Colors Cosmetology school graduating as a Nail Tech/Esthetician nail design, a passion for her future.

Nobody loved animals like Jessie. She loved all living creatures, especially her dog, Loki. As a teen, she enjoyed float tube fishing with her dad. Jessie and her mom shared Reiki and a love for healing.

Jessie is survived by her parents, Terry and Linda Pruett, half-brother Richard, San Antonio, TX, cousin: Wendy (David) Miller and 2 sons, Ben and Nate, Aunt Patti Martini, of Casper, WY, Niece Brittney Amend, Sheridan, WY, very special friends and roommates, Lynn Roberts, Rethola Roberts and Ren.  Even though Jessie’s life was short, it was always filled with love and light. She is missed by all who knew her. Her soul is at peace! Jessie was preceded in death by her grandparents; Jim and Margaret Myers and Frank and Rose Belus, all of Sheridan, WY.
