Trooper Baseball is Back / Be The Light for Track and Field set for Friday

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers will officially kickoff their baseball season today weather permitting at 4:00, due to ongoing construction at Thorne-Rider stadium they will also be using Redle field at the Rec. Department as well to help with social distancing of players and coaches.

The state has set a target date of Memorial Day weekend to open the season and it is expected the shorter season this year will have teams avoiding any out of state travel to play games with the state tournament set to begin in early August.

BE THE LIGHT – Sheridan high school will host another “Be The Light” ceremony Friday evening to recognize the Bronc and Lady Bronc Senior track and field athletes.

The program will start at 8:20 at Homer Scott stadium and last for 20 minutes and Senior athletes will be stationed in the bus loop for people to drive through and recognize their accomplishments.

Head track coach Taylor Kelting will join us for a special broadcast to celebrate the Seniors it will be broadcast in 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Kelting says the shock of losing the spring season has set in but its too bad a promising season had to end the way it did.

UW – University of Wyoming head football Craig Bohl will make this year’s commencement keynote address to UW grads virtually Saturday. The University made that announcement over the weekend. the program is scheduled to start at 10:30 Saturday morning.
