STATE TRACK AND FIELD – Sheridan county high school teams had an amazing run at the state track and field championships which wrapped up Saturday.
The Sheridan Broncs repeated at the 4A champions, the Tongue River Lady Eagles repeated as the 2A state champs, the Tongue River boys won the 2A state title and the Big Horn Rams second behind the Eagles.
The Sheridan Lady Broncs were 4th and the Big Horn Lady Rams were 5th.

STATE SOCCER – The Sheridan high school soccer teams wrapped up their season Saturday at the state tournament in Cheyenne the Lady Broncs beat Cheyenne East 1-0 to win the consolation bracket final, the Broncs made it all the way to the title game but lost 2-0 against Jackson.
TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers split a road double header at Casper Saturday, yesterday they also split two Billings Scarlets.
The Troopers took the first game 3-1 behind an outstanding pitching performance from Trevor Stowe, the Scarlets took game two by a score of 5-0.
Troops Head coach Ben Phillips said Stowe was really tough in the opener.
The cool windy weather made it tough on the players and Phillips says they are just waiting for the weather to turn to finally help them get their bats going.
In the second game Avon Barney got the state and combined with two others had a pretty good day on the mound as well.
The Troopers will play at an annual Memorial day weekend tournament in Gillette this week.
ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies lost 2-0 to the New York Mets Sunday afternoon. tonight they open a road series at Pittsburgh first pitch is scheduled for 4:45.you can hear the Rockies this season on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
