As soon as Sheridan caught the opening kickoff, the Broncs were off to the races and never looked back.
Carter McComb took a reverse on the opening kickoff and return it 98 yards for the first of his 3 TD’s, as the Broncs took care of business against Cheyenne Central 48-14 in the first round of the 2021 playoffs.
Colson Coon also had a 3 TD game.
He scored later in the 1st quarter with a 45 yard run to make it 14-0.
The Indians kicked a field goal to make the score 14-3, to end the scoring for the first 12, but Sheridan was already on the move again.
McComb scored on the first play of the second quarter (5 yards) to put his team ahead 21-3, then scored his 3rd touchdown on a 29-yard run to push the score up to 28-3.
Central was able to add on another field goal, to cut the score to 28-6 going into halftime.
The Broncs attack continued in the 2nd half.
Coon scored his second TD in the 3rd quarter, to make it 35-6, the Sheridan passing game made a contribution as Carl Askins connected with Dane Steel, to push the score up to 41-6.
The visitors eventually got into the end zone, to make it a 41-14 game, the Coon got his 3rd TD in the 4th quarter to finish the scoring.
Sheridan will host Natrona in the semi-finals on Friday, November 5th.
