Wyoming High School State Wrestling Meet 2026: After the first day of the Wyoming High School wrestling state championships, 11 wrestlers from North-Central Wyoming High Schools are still in the running for a state title.

The Sheridan boys are in 7th place in the 4A team standings and have 4 wrestlers who have advanced to the semi-finals (Sophomore Finn Stalick – 138 pounds, Freshman Logan Rager – 144 pounds, Senior Keegan Rager – 175 pounds, Junior Braxten Crow – 190 pounds).

The Tongue River boys are in 5th place in the 2A team standings and have 4 of their own still trying to win a championship (Freshman Kobbe Smith – 106 pounds, Sophomore Kipton Guptill – 126 pounds, Senior Trey Breen – 144 pounds, Sophomore Colter Schwend – 215 pounds), as well as 1 from Buffalo in the 3A ranks (Junior Brody Behrend – 165 pounds).

On the girls side, Sheridan is in 7th place and has 2 wrestlers competing in today’s semi-finals (Sopomore Searney O’Brien – 120 pounds, Senior Dani Grooms – 145 pounds).

Today’s schedule has the wrestle-back rounds beginning at 10:30am and those matches will go until about 5pm.

The semi-finals start at around 5:40pm.

Tomorrow’s schedule has more consolation round matches beginning at 10:30am.

The 3rd and 5th place matches will follow immediately afterwards.

The championship matches start at around 2:20pm.

Sheridan/Buffalo HS Basketball: Sheridan will play in their home finale today vs. Thunder Basin.

The girls game tips off at 5:30pm and the boys game will follow.

The Broncs have already secured the #1 seed for next weekend’s 4A East Regional Tournament, while the Lady Broncs can lock up the #3 seed with a win today.

Aaron Ligocki will have the LIVE radio play-by-play call, on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Buffalo will also conclude their regular season this weekend, as both the Bison and Lady Bison play today at Glenrock, as well as tomorrow at home vs. Newcastle.


Big Horn/Tongue River HS Basketball: The post season started yesterday in the Class 2A and 1A ranks.

At the 2A East Regional Tournament in Pine Bluffs, the Tongue River girls won vs. Wright yesterday, while the TR boys lost their first round game.

The Big Horn boys and girls had a first round bye and did not play.

The Rams will take on Sundance in the semi-finals today at 5:30pm.

The winner will qualify for the state tournament and play for the regional championship tomorrow.

The Eagles have today off and will play a do or die game tomorrow morning vs. the Big Horn/Sundance loser.

On the girls side, BH and TR will play round 3 vs. each other in the semi-finals, starting at 1pm.

The winner is in the state tournament and will play tomorrow for the regional championship.

The loser will go up against Moorcroft tomorrow morning.

That winner is in the state tournament, and the loser is done for the season.

Arvada-Clearmont/Kaycee HS Basketball: At the 1A Girls East Regional Tournament in Torrington, Arvada-Clearmont lost their first round game vs. Southeast yesterday, and will play today in an elimination game against Lusk, starting at 1:30pm.

Kaycee won their first round game vs. Lusk and will play in the semi-finals vs. Southeast today at 8pm.

The winner punches their ticket to the state tournament, while the loser will get a 2nd chance tomorrow morning.

Wyoming High School Nordic Ski State Meet: The 2-day state meet is today and tomorrow in Pinedale.

The meet was initially supposed to take place near Lander, but due to issues with a lack of snow, it had to be moved.

Races start at 10am both today and tomorrow.

Sheridan High School senior Kayley Alicke is last year’s girls individual state champ.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Indoor Track and Field: Sheridan, Big Horn, Tongue River and Buffalo are all competing today in Gillette.

Competition starts at 10am.

The State Meet is next weekend.


Sheridan Hawks Amateur Hockey/WAHL State B Tournament 2026: The Wyoming Amateur Hockey League ‘B’ State Tournament starts today in Sheridan.

The first game starts at 9am, and another game starts about every 2 hours afterwards.

Sheridan plays at 5pm against the winner of this morning’s game between Rock Springs vs. Gillette.

The semi-finals are tomorrow at Noon and 2pm.

The 3rd place game is on Sunday at 8am, and the puck drops in the championship game at 10am.

The girls hockey state tournament is next weekend in Cheyenne.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are on the road this weekend as the team plays a 2-game series vs. Cody.

The puck drops at 7:05pm for both games.

The Hawks are trying to lock down the #1 seed for the upcoming NA3HL Frontier Division playoffs.

Sheridan will play their regular season and home finale games next weekend, also vs. Cody.


University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back on the court tomorrow at home vs. Air Force.

Tip-off is scheduled for 2pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Wyoming Cowgirls are on the road to take on San Diego State.

That game also tips-off at 2pm and it can be heard LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost last night at home vs. Minnesota 5-2.

The Avs are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Chicago.


Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies ran their win streak to 4 in a row yesterday, by defeating San Francisco on the road 11-3.

Charlie Condon, Chad Stevens and Ryan Ritter each hit solo home runs for the cause, while T.J. Rumfield provided a 2-run shot of his own.

The Rockies next play today at home vs. San Diego starting at 1:05pm.

Colorado is home again tomorrow vs. Kansas City, beginning at 1:10pm and play on Sunday at Cleveland at 1:05pm.
