Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are using their remaining 4 regular season games to tune up for the upcoming playoffs.
The team has a 2 point lead in the standings over Helena, and currently control the first 2 tie-breakers, which are most regulation wins and the head-to-head series.
Sheridan only has Cody remaining on their schedule, with 2 of those games away and the final 2 at home.
Head Coach J.J. Santagata says the opposition may be out of the running for the playoffs, but are a much better team than the ones that won a combined 1 game over the past 2 seasons.
The puck is scheduled to drop this coming Friday and Saturday in Cody at 7:05pm.
University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys lost last night at Boise State 72-62.

The Pokes are now 15-13 on the season and have a 6-11 record in the Mountain West Conference.

Mountain West Conference Football: The Mountain West Conference released a new list of opponents that each team will face this upcoming season.
All teams will play 8 conference games, and since there will be 10 teams in the conference, there will be 1 team missing from the schedule.
Dates and order of the games are still to be announced.
The Wyoming Cowboys will travel to take on 2 of the new conference members.
Those teams are North Dakota State and the University of Texas El-Paso.
The Pokes will also visit San Jose State and UNLV.
The other conference newcomer, Northern Illinois, will visit Laramie.
The Cowboys also play home games against Air Force, Hawaii and New Mexico.
The only conference opponent not on Wyoming’s schedule is Nevada.
Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won yesterday at home against the LA Angels 7-5.
Charlie Condon hit a solo home run for the cause.
