Sheridan HS Boys and Girls Basketball: The Sheridan High School boys basketball team did not have much trouble in last week’s game at Campbell County, as the team is tuning up for the 4A East regional tournament.
The Broncs already have the #1 seed locked up for next weekend and will play their home finale this coming Friday vs. Thunder Basin.
Head Coach Jeff Martini says based on all the final scores, it may not seem like there’s anything wrong with the team, but the boys try to find new challenges to keep their minds sharp.
Unlike the boys, the Sheridan girls have something to play for on Friday.
If the Lady Broncs can defeat Thunder Basin, they would get the #3 seed for the 4A East Regional Tournament.
A loss could drop them down to #5.
Head Coach Chris Wagner says in last week’s game vs. Campbell County, he was pleased with how the team played patiently.
The girls game tips off at 5:30pm on Friday and the boys game will follow.
Sheridan County HS Indoor Track and Field: Sheridan County athletes were at the Simplot Games this past weekend in Pocatello, Idaho.
Eli Balkenbush of Sheridan finished 1st in the boys freshmen 1600 meter run.
The Sheridan boys 4 by 800 meter relay team was 2nd, and the Big Horn boys 4 by 400 meter relay team was also 2nd in their race.
The Sheridan girls 1600 meter sprint medley relay team came in 3rd.
The next indoor meet is scheduled for this coming Friday at Gillette.
The state meet is next weekend.
University of Wyoming Men’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys play today at Boise State.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won yesterday at home against the Chicago White Sox 6-5.
Zac Veen hit a walk off solo home run in the bottom of the 9th for the win.
The Rocks are in action again today at home vs. the LA Angels.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10pm.
