Sheridan/Buffalo HS Soccer: Both of the Sheridan High School soccer teams will try to separate themselves from the rest of the 4A East teams this weekend, and try to keep their undefeated records intact.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs play Cheyenne Central today and Cheyenne East tomorrow.

The boys play on the road and girls at home.

Last time the boys played the Indians, it was a scoreless sister-kisser.

Senior Karson Chase says playing 4A East teams the second time can be a lot different from the first time, and the Broncs need to make sure that the team plays their game and try not to think about it too much.

After playing their last 6 games on the road against every 4A East Conference opponent, the Lady Broncs get to enjoy the last 4 games at home, something that they haven’t had in nearly 1 month.

Senior Avery McMullen says one thing that’s going right for Sheridan this year is that they’re spreading the ball around to as many players as they can, and it’s not always the same players taking control.

Start time for today’s games are at 6pm and tomorrow is at 12-noon.

You can watch a LIVE video stream of both of this weekend’s girls games at sheridanmedia.com and on the Sheridan Media Facebook page.

Buffalo plays at 3 and 5pm today at Douglas, and at Noon and 2pm tomorrow at home vs. Rawlins.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Track and Field: Sheridan was at the 5-team Basin Nation Invitational yesterday at Gillette, while Buffalo hosted a 7-team twilight meet, with Big Horn and Arvada-Clearmont among the other teams participating.

BH as well as Tongue River will compete today at Lovell.

The best of best, regardless of what class they’re in, will be in Casper today at the Wyoming Track Classic, which is considered a preview of the state meet, which is 3 weeks away on the schedule.

Sheridan HS Softball: Sheridan is going to see how tough the southeast quadrant is this weekend.

The Lady Broncs play at 12-noon today at Wheatland, and will play again at 4pm vs. Cheyenne East.

Tomorrow they play at 10am at Torrington, and will play again at 2pm vs. Cheyenne Central.

Head Coach Kristen Czaban says there’s no particular opponent that the girls are looking forward to playing, but it will be good to see competition from the other side of the state.

Sheridan will conclude the regular season next week on Thursday at Worland and on Friday at Jackson.

Sheridan Maverick/Lady Maverick Lacrosse: The Sheridan Lady Mavericks will play their only 2 home games of the season tomorrow.

The team will play Billings at 9am and Cheyenne at 12-noon at the old Normative Services facility, which is on Big Goose Road just past the golf course.

As for the Mavericks, they play today at 7:30pm at Billings, and will play Helena West tomorrow at 1pm in Bozeman.

Sheridan/Buffalo Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers play a pair of non-conference games tomorrow at Casper, starting at 11am and 1pm.

The Buffalo Bulls will play 2-games tomorrow at Douglas starting at 2 and 4pm.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: For the first time this season, the Colorado Rockies have won 2 games in a row, as the team defeated San Francisco on the road last night 4-3.

Ryan McMahon hit a solo home run to help the cause.

Game 2 of the 4 game series is today starting at 8:15pm.

Tomorrow and Sunday’s games start at 2:05pm.

The Rocks are off on Monday and then start a 6-game homestand with 3 vs. Detroit and 3 vs. San Diego.

Denver Nuggets Basketball/NBA Playoffs: The Denver Nuggets were unable to finish the job last night, as they lost Game 6 of their first round best of 7 series at the LA Clippers 111-105.

The series is now tied at 3 wins each.

Game 7 is tomorrow at Denver starting at 5:30pm.

The winner will move on to play Oklahoma City in the second round, while the loser is done for the season.

The only other NBA final score from last night, saw New York eliminate Detroit 116-113, and win the series 4-games-to-2.

The Knicks will play Boston in the second round.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Colorado Avalanche stayed alive and got a little bit of help from the opposition last night, to win Game 6 of their first round best of 7 series at home vs. Dallas 7-4 and tie the series at 3.

With about 11 minutes to go, and the game tied at 4, the Stars accidentally scored on themselves, and then the Avs added 2 empty net goals in the last 2 minutes.

Game 7 is tomorrow at Dallas, starting at 6pm.

Final scores from last night saw Toronto eliminated Ottawa 4-2 to win their series 4-2.

Vegas eliminated Minnesota 3-2 and won that series 4-2.

Edmonton eliminated LA 6-4 to win their series 4-2.

It’s the 4th year in a row that the Oilers have eliminated the Kings in the first round.

Edmonton and Vegas will play each other in the second round.
