Sheridan HS Softball: If there are two things that the Sheridan High School Softball team enjoys, it’s winning games in come from behind fashion and winning dramatically.

Playing in the home finale yesterday, the Lady Broncs swept a double-header at home vs. Cody, 12-10 and 12-5.

In Game 1, the team was down 10-3, going into the bottom of the 4th inning, then gradually came back, tied the score and then in the bottom of the 7th, Sophomore Emerson Kelley of Big Horn would walk it off with a 2-run home run.

Kelley says this season the team has established their identity as comeback queens, and the players enjoy the role.

In Game 2, Sheridan kept the momentum going, as Kelley hit a 3-run shot and later sophomore Rayna Lollar hit what turned out to be the first grand slam in Lady Bronc history.

The team is now 11-7-1 on the season.

This weekend they will play on Friday at Wheatland, and also play Cheyenne East.

On Saturday, Sheridan will play at Torrington and also play Cheyenne Central.

Sheridan HS Soccer: Both Sheridan teams remain undefeated on the season with wins vs. Campbell County.

The boys score was 5-1 at home and the girls had the same score on the road.

This weekend, Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East provide the opposition.

The boys will play on the road and the girls team at home.

Sheridan College Rodeo: For the first time since 2011, Sheridan College will not represent at College National Finals Rodeo.

The regular season ended this past weekend at the University of Wyoming rodeo event.

Cowboys and cowgirls competed at a total of 10 rodeos split between last fall and this spring.

Competitors earn points based on what place they finish at each rodeo, and the top 3 in each event at the end of the season qualify for the CNFR.

In the final standings, Jake Schlattmann was the closest for Sheridan College as he finished 5th in the saddle bronc riding.

The team has had representation in the CNFR in each of the past 13 years.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies’ losing streak is now at 8, after dropping last night’s game at home vs. Atlanta 8-2 and are now 4-25 on the season.

Michael Toglia contributed with a solo shot for the Rocks, who will conclude the 3-game series today starting at 1:10pm.

After that, Colorado will start a 4-game series tomorrow at San Francisco.

Other final scores from yesterday, Indiana won in overtime at home vs. Milwaukee 119-118 to win the series 4-1 and set up a 2nd round match vs. Cleveland.

Boston closed out Orlando 120-89 to win that series 4-1.

Detroit stayed alive by winning Game 5 at New York 106-103, but trail in the series 3-games-to-2.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey/NHL Playoffs: The Colorado Avalanche will play Game 6 of their first round best of 7 series tomorrow at home vs. Dallas.

The Avs trail the series 3-2.

Carolina needed 2 overtimes to close out New Jersey 5-4, and win the series 4-1.
