Sheridan HS Track and Field: The Sheridan High School Track and Field team should get a good test from Montana competition this weekend.
The Broncs and Lady Broncs are scheduled to compete on Saturday at the Billings Invitational.
So far, the team has had 2 small home meets, and Head Coach Taylor Kelting says this Saturday will give athletes some idea as to where they stand.
Tongue River is hosting a meet tomorrow starting at 10am with 7 other teams including Big Horn.
Buffalo is scheduled to compete tomorrow at Spearfish, South Dakota, while Arvada-Clearmont and Kaycee will head to Upton.
Sheridan Mavericks Lacrosse: The injury bug has taken an early bite out of the Sheridan Mavericks.
The team was not at full strength in their season opening losses this past weekend against both Billings and Cody.
Head Coach J.R. Wright says having this kind of a problem early in the season is not necessarily a bad thing, depending on the severity of the injuries, plus it gave some of the younger players some time on the field.
The Mavs will head to Bozeman for a pair of Saturday games against Helena East and the home team.
The Lady Mavericks will start their season this weekend.
They will also be in Bozeman on Saturday to take on Missoula and the home team, and play a Sunday game against Billings.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: Pitching for the Colorado Rockies was nowhere to be found yesterday, as the team got walloped at home vs. Milwaukee 17-2.
Ryan McMahon hit a solo run, but the Rocks needed a lot more than that.
The team will try to avoid being swept as they close out the 3-game series today starting at 1:10pm.
After today, the Rockies will start a 6-game road trip against San Diego and the LA Dodgers.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at Sacramento 124-116.
With 2 remaining in the regular season, the team is tied for the #4 and #5 seeds with the LA Clippers.
The Nuggets will play their regular season home finale tomorrow against Memphis.
