Sheridan HS Basketball: The Sheridan High School boys basketball team redeemed themselves this past weekend and are now in a position to get the #1 seed for the upcoming regional tournament.

When Sheridan first played Laramie 1 month ago, the Broncs were blown out by 29 points, partially because they had trouble dealing with 6-foot-9 and UW bound Neil Summers.

Head Coach Jeff Martini explains what lessons were learned the first time, and what was done to correct things.

Sheridan hosts Campbell County this Friday.

A win against the Camels would move the Broncs into a 1st place tie in the 4A East Conference.

As for the girls, the score at halftime vs. Laramie was a little closer than they would’ve liked, but the team came out of the locker room and dominated the second half.

Head Coach Ryan Sullivan says there’s still a few weaknesses in the game plan to be worked on, but the team isn’t quite ready to peak just yet.

The Lady Broncs also host Campbell County this Friday, in what appears to be a battle for 3rd and 4th place.

University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back on the court today as the team hosts Air Force.

Something will have to give in this game, because the Pokes have lost 5 in a row and the Falcons have dropped 15 straight.

Tip off from Laramie is at 6:30pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Wyoming Cowgirls also play today at Boise State.

Tip off for that contest is scheduled for 6:30pm and that game can be heard on FOX Sports 106.3 FM.

In other Cowgirl news, for the third time this season, the Mountain West Conference pre-season player of the year has earned weekly honors.

Allyson Fertig has been named conference player of the week.

She averaged 24 points and 15.5 rebounds per game in last week’s games, while shooting a combined total of 67% from the field.

Fertig also recorded back-to-back double-doubles for the first time this season.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: Pitchers and catchers for the Colorado Rockies reported in last week.

The remaining players will start practice today.

The first exhibition game is this coming Friday at Arizona.

The regular season starts on Friday, March 28th at Tampa Bay.
