Sheridan HS Basketball: Teams in the 4A East have to play each other twice, and the Sheridan Broncs will be looking for redemption against one opponent this weekend.
On Friday the team hosts Cheyenne South, and then on Saturday, the boys entertain a Laramie team that ran them out of the gym 3 weeks ago.
Head Coach Jeff Martini says while the initial focus is on South, the team is looking forward to correcting what went wrong the first time they played the Plainsmen.
As for the Lady Broncs, they look to recover from 2 losses on the road in Cheyenne this past weekend.
Sheridan lost in different ways in each game and senior Avery McMullen says those were just battles, not wars.
Tip off time Friday is scheduled for 5:30pm and Saturday’s time is 11:30am.
Tongue River Boys Basketball: The Tongue River boys may not have a good win-loss record, but the pieces to the puzzle might be falling into place.
This past Saturday, the Eagles were down 19-3 early in the second quarter at home vs. Sundance.
After that the team got its act in gear, came back and won.
Head Coach Dylan Wood says while having a record of 4-14 might not be desirable, part of the reason why it started out that way, is because of what did or didn’t happen during the off-season.
TR is back in action this Friday at Wright.
In the NBA, the Denver Nuggets won last night at home vs. Portland, 146-117.
The Nuggets and Trail Blazers will take today off and play each other again tomorrow in Denver.
