The calendar has reached the end of 2024, and a lot happened sports-wise in Sheridan County.

Winter 2024:
Both the Sheridan and Tongue River girls basketball teams won state championships.
Adeline Burgess of Sheridan ended up setting 2 school records…most 3-pointers made in a game with 8, and most 3 pointers made in a season with 79.
The Sheridan boys wrestlers finished the year as state runners-up, while the girls placed 3rd.
3 Broncs and 2 Lady Broncs won individual state championships.
The Sheridan Boys Swimming and Diving team placed 4th at the state meet.
Ben Forsythe won 2 individual state championships.
The Sheridan boys nordic ski team placed 5th and girls 6th at the 2024 state meet.
The Sheridan Lady Hawks amateur hockey team won the Wyoming A-League State Championship.
The Sheridan Hawks junior hockey team, placed 6th in their division and ended up missing the playoffs.
Spring 2024:
Gavin Stafford of BH and Addie Pendergast of Sheridan were both named the Gatorade Athletes of the Year.
Pendergast set a new overall state record in both the girls 300 meter hurdles and girls 400 meter dash races.
Chance Morris of Sheridan set a new overall state record in the boys 100 meter dash.
The Sheridan boys soccer team placed 3rd for the 2nd year in a row.
Summer 2024:
Steel won the 2024 boys version of the Milward Simpson Award.
Dominick Berrettini of Sheridan was named offensive MVP of the Wyoming Shrine Bowl football game.
The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball team put together a record of 36-28.
In High School Rodeo, Abigail Olson was National Runner-Up in the Barrel Racing.
Mark Engelman of Sheridan won 7 gold medals in swimming at the Wyoming Senior Olympics.
Fall 2024:
The Sheridan Bronc football team 4-peated as Wyoming State Champs, and in the process, broke the record for both the longest winning streak in state history and longest unbeaten streak.
The team has won 43 in a row which is currently the fifth longest active winning streak in the country.
Sheridan placed 3rd.
The Sheridan girls golf team were state runners-up while Tongue River was 3rd.
The Sheridan boys tennis team were state runners-up and the girls were 8th.
The Sheridan girls swimming and diving team placed 6th at the state meet.
