University of Wyoming Basketball: Back on Wednesday the Wyoming Cowboys trailed by 16 points in the first half in the Championship Game of the Cancun Challenge, then rallied to take a 10 point lead with about 5:45 to go, but could not hold on and ended up losing to Loyola Marymount 73-70.

Obi Agbim led the way for UW with 23 points, while Cole Henry put in a dozen.

Jordan Nesbitt had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The only big difference in the game was that the Pokes shot nearly 43% for the game, but the opposition was a little bit better at 49%.

The Brown and Gold are now 5-2 on the season and next play on Wednesday in an early conference game at Utah State.

As for the Wyoming Cowgirls, they won yesterday in their first game of the Puerto Rico Shootout vs. Drake University 71-57.

Emily Mellema led all scorers with 20 points, Allyson Fertig put in 18 and Malene Pedersen added 15.

UW was able to score 40 of their 71 points in the paint.

The Cowgirls play again today vs. Norfolk State at 11:30am and tomorrow vs. Virginia at 10:30am.

University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys will conclude the 2024 season tomorrow at Washington State.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30pm and you can hear that game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won on Wednesday at Utah 122-103.

The Nuggets next game is scheduled for Sunday at the LA Clippers.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won on Wednesday at home vs. Las Vegas 2-1, winning via shootout 1-nothing.

The Avs next play today at Dallas starting at 7pm and return home tomorrow to play Edmonton starting at 8pm.
