University of Wyoming Football: The University of Wyoming Cowboy Football Team will take to the field this Saturday as the team will start its season at Arizona State.

Not only is it game preparation week, like high school, classes started this week.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel says that may throw a little bit of a wrench into the mindset of some players early in the week, but because all they’ve been doing for the past 4 weeks is nothing but football, the start of classes should not affect much.

Kickoff for this Saturday’s game at ASU is scheduled for 8:30pm.

Tongue River HS Football: Tongue River is preparing for their 2024 season, but unlike past years, the first day of practice and the first day of school happened to fall on the same day.

In past years, the Eagles have been able to get a full week of practice and 2-a-days in before school started, but that was not the case this year.

Head Coach Steve Hanson says this has happened before, and while it may be a bit of a bummer in terms of timing, he knows how to deal with it.

TR is scheduled to play this coming Saturday at home vs. the Sheridan JV team, beginning at 10am.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won the opener of their 4-game home series vs. Miami last night 3-2.

Ryan McMahon’s solo home run in the bottom of the 6th inning, made the difference.

Today’s game is scheduled to start at 6:40pm.
