Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: It’s time for the Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Team to make their move up the conference standings.

The team is in action today in a double-header at Laramie beginning at 1pm.

This past weekend Sheridan went 3-2 at a tournament in Billings, Montana and compared to what the team went through the previous week at Omaha, Coach Austin Cowen says the Troopers have made improvements.

After today, Sheridan will take a break for the 4th of July Holiday weekend.

The Troopers play 3 home double-headers next week.

On Tuesday the team will host Cody, on Thursday they’ll play the Cheyenne Hawks and on Saturday the opponent is Rock Springs.

High School Basketball Shot Clock Starts In 2 Years: The shot clock is coming starting in December of 2026.

For those who just finished their freshman season, they’ll experience the 35-second shot clock era when they are seniors.

One such person is Mesa Hanft of Sheridan who says things are going to change in her senior season.

Tongue River Girls Basketball Coach Amanda Cummins says the positives of a shot clock outweigh the negatives.

Currently, every state that borders Wyoming, except for Colorado, uses a shot clock.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies had a 3-2 lead going into the 9th inning last night at home vs. Milwaukee, but the bullpen could not hold onto the lead, and the team lost 4-3.

Brenton Doyle hit a solo home run to help the cause.

Game 3 of the 4 game series is today at 6:40pm.

Tomorrow’s game on the 4th of July starts at 6:10pm.

After tomorrow, the Rocks will then start a 3-game home series vs. Kansas City.
