Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball Team will start play at another tournament today at Billings.

The team will take on the Lightning Baseball Academy from Parker, Colorado at 2:30pm, and after a short break, they will also take on Great Falls, Montana.

Tomorrow, Sheridan plays Willison, North Dakota at 2:30pm.

Saturday’s opponent is Miles City at 12-noon.

Sunday’s games are to be announced.

Coach Austin Cowen says Billings isn’t that far away, and maybe since the team does have to travel as far, compared to last week in Omaha, the players will snap out of their offensive funk.

Outfielder Riley Green sums up what the players need to do to get back on track.

The next home game for the Troopers isn’t until Tuesday, July 9th.

High School Basketball Shot Clock Coming Soon: Another change is coming down the road in terms of how the game is played.

This past season the change was how many team fouls does it take per quarter, before the opposition can start shooting free throws.

Beginning in December of 2026, the shot clock is coming.

It will last for 35 seconds and as of the end of this past season, about half of the US States use it, including every state that borders Wyoming, except for Colorado.

Wyoming High School Activities Association Commission Trevor Wilson says there’s an upside and a downside to bringing in the shot clock.

If you’re trying to figure out the math, those who just finished their freshman season, will have to deal with the shot clock, when they are seniors.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost yesterday at Houston 7-1.

The Rocks are off today and currently have the worst record in the National League at 27-53.

Tomorrow the team will start a 3-game series at the Chicago White Sox, who currently have the worst record in the American League and in all of Major League Baseball at 21-61.
