UW Football Team Wins Arizona Bowl: The 2023 Wyoming Cowboy Football team sent coach Craig Bohl off into the sunset in dramatic fashion Saturday in the Arizona Bowl.
Trailing 15-6 against Toledo going into the 4th quarter, the Pokes would get a touchdown with about 8 ½ minutes to go, to make it 15-13.
The defense would eventually force the Rockets to punt, and the brown and gold had to start at their own 6 yard line with 4:11 to go.
UW would milk the clock, and march 87 yards to the Toledo 7 yard line, converting 1 4th down in the process, and got some help from an unnecessary roughness penalty.
John Hoyland would then kick a 24 yard field goal as the clock expired to give Wyoming a 16-15 victory.
The Cowboys finish the season with a record of 9-4.
University Of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys dropped their final non-conference game of the season this past Saturday, 94-68 at BYU.
Four Cowboys scored in double figures.
Sam Griffin led the way with 25 points on 10 of 14 shooting.
Mason Walters put in 12, while Akuel Kot and Caden Powell put in 10 points each.
The 2 big problems were, BYU shot nearly 57% for the game compared to UW’s 40% and the Cougar bench outscored the Brown and Gold 41-7.
The Pokes are now 7-6 on the season and start conference play tonight at home vs. San Jose State.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30pm and you can hear that game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Meanwhile the Wyoming Cowgirls started conference play this past Saturday with a 61-47 win at home vs. Boise State.
McKinley Dickerson came off the bench to lead the way with 16 points.
Tess Barnes added in 13, and Malene Pedersen put in 11.

Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos won their home finale this past Sunday against the LA Chargers 16-9.
The win evens up Denver’s record at 8-8 and they are 1 game behind in the race for the final wild card spot in the AFC, however, there’s no way they can get it.
Indianapolis, Houston and Pittsburgh are currently in the 3-way tie for that final spot, and the main problem for the Broncos is that Houston and Indy play each other this week, thus there’s no way to catch up to both of them, and a tie game between the Texans and Colts doesn’t help either.
Denver concludes the season Sunday at Las Vegas in what will be a battle for 2nd and 3rd place in the AFC West.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2:25pm.
