Richard Dean Bacon

Richard Dean Bacon, Age 86, Died Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Farmington, NM 

Richard was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, May 28, 1939, to Lorene William Bacon and Vera Mable Mascher Bacon. He attended schools in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School in 1957, Sheridan College in 1960 and the University of Wyoming in 1962. He received his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1972. 

He was employed by Fox Intermountain Theaters (WYO Theater) Eaton Brothers Inc, Boise Cascade Corp, Raab, Roush & Gaymon CPAs, Worden and Bacon CPAs, U.S. Postal Service, The Home Depot, 4-4 Inc. (4-4 Pipeline Construction, Circle S stores and H&S Enterprises) and Harpole Construction Inc. 

He compiled and updated the Class Database and Obituary sections of the Sheridan High School alumni website, shsalumni.net

He was a life member of Sheridan Elks Lodge. 

He married Marthafern Sexton Wright in 1983. She preceded him in death in 2009.

He is survived by his daughter Mandana (Mandy) Allen (Bill) of Farmington, NM his stepdaughter Virginia Anne Corbett (John) of Sewickley PA. Grandchildren Chelsie Hall (Timmy) of Half Moon Bay, CA. Connyre Hamalainen (Dan) of Charlotte, NC. John A Corbett of Half Moon Bay, CA and Great grandchildren, Augustus Hall, Callahan Jack Hamalainen, and Honor Hall. Brothers, Roger Lee Bacon, Ponderay, ID and Robert Wayne Bacon of Murray, UT. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife

His family will bury him by his wife’s side in Sheridan in the spring in a private family ceremony.
