Jeremy Thomas Armstrong
Jeremy “Torch” Armstrong, 48, passed away unexpectedly on September 10th at his home in Sheridan, Colorado. His family and his friends in Wyoming and Colorado are stunned by his sudden death. Jeremy Thomas Armstrong was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on March 29, 1977, to Thomas E. and Angeline J. (Haratyk) Armstrong. He joined his sister Nicole to complete the family. Jeremy had a unique charm from the get-go, quickly endearing himself to others wherever he went. He and his sister were best buds throughout his life, and he and his mother had a deep and loving bond. Over the years, Jeremy lived in Colorado and Wyoming. He lived in the Denver area for the past dozen years, where he operated a small auto repair business in Englewood. Jeremy was immensely intelligent and perceptive. His broad and deep capabilities and his vast practical knowledge and talents awed us all. He was always willing to help family and friends. His wit, humor and charm completed his larger-than-life persona. Jeremy took an early and serious interest in anything mechanical, electrical or electronic. He landed his first job repairing small gas engine devices when he was in his early teens, and stepped up to auto mechanic not long thereafter. Being a hands-on and highly analytical type of problem solver, his talents ranged from automobile mechanics to computers and networks, to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, to day-trading in the stock market. Family and friends benefitted greatly from Jeremy’s many talents and his eagerness to always help out. Besides his parents and sister, Jeremy is survived by his niece Sophie, a large extended family, several very close friends, and a wide circle of good friends.
In lieu of a service, a Celebration of Joy will be held September 24th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Barn in Big Horn, where his many extended family members and area friends can gather to celebrate the joy Jeremy brought to others. His close friends in Colorado will organize a separate celebration of Jeremy’s life for his many friends there. You were truly a gem, Jeremy. You are missed, and you’ll never be forgotten. Rest now, in peace. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
