A Look Back in Time: Jan. 27, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Jan. 27, 1920.

An attempt to rob the Court Basket store last night was frustrated by a passerby who came upon the man trying to force an entrance at the rear door. The man fled, but police were notified, and the would-be burglar was apprehended.

A man has been arrested by the sheriff, and information will probably be filed late this afternoon, for forging nearly $260 in checks.

Joe Fedick, aged 46, died this morning at his home on West Dow street of pneumonia following an attack of influenza.
