Bond Modification Hearing Held for Man Charged With Three Counts of Felony Voyeurism

A bond modification hearing was held Wednesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for a man charged with three felonies. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
In April Shaun Kobielusz was arrested and charged with three counts of felony voyeurism for allegedly placing video recording devices in a bedroom and bathroom of his home and using the devices to record three individuals, two minors and one adult, without their consent. At an arraignment hearing in May, Kobielusz pleaded not guilty to all three of the charges. District Court Judge John Fenn, at a hearing in October, granted the prosecution’s motion for supervised visitation between Kobielusz and two of the alleged victims in the case who are minors.
A motion by the defense to remove the supervised visitation stipulation of the defendant’s bond was denied by Fenn at a bond modification hearing Wednesday. Fenn ruled that supervised visitation through Compass – Center for Families will continue under the same conditions that were set forth in October. The jury trial, originally set for December 20, has been continued and a new date has not yet been scheduled due to the impending transition of a new judge in the Fourth District to replace Fenn, who was recently appointed to the Wyoming Supreme Court by Governor Gordon. If convicted on all three counts, Kobielusz faces up to 6 years in prison and fines of up to $15,000.
