SC adds 40 over the weekend, SMH taking appointments for booster and initial vaccinations

Over the weekend, Sheridan County added 40 lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 to the 3,630 lab confirmed cases in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.
Three more probable cases have occurred bringing the number to 1,044 probable cases in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are now 188 active cases in the Sheridan County community.
According to COVID-19 Public Information Officer Jennifer Graves, 57 cases have recovered since Friday.
Forty-one Sheridan County residents have lost their lives to the coronavirus and there are currently 16 hospitalized in Sheridan County battling the virus.
Appointments to receive a Pfizer booster or an initial set of vaccinations can be made with Sheridan Memorial Hospital beginning today, on the SMH website. The clinic is once again be located on the second floor of the Outpatient Center
The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control list Sheridan County’s level of community transmission as HIGH.
