With fire season underway, Yellowstone National Park is taking some precautions.
The parkwide fire danger inside YNP is now moderate, even though there are no active wildland fires in the park.
There are also no fire restrictions in place or planned in the park.
Campfires are only permitted within established fire rings in campgrounds and some backcountry campsites.
They must always be attended and be cold to the touch before abandoning.
