Council to Consider Resolution to Apply for Grant for New Fire Engine

Details of a resolution authorizing the submission of a Federal Mineral Royalty Capital Construction Account Grant application in the amount of $710,000 for the purchase of a new fire engine for Sheridan Fire-Rescue were presented to the Sheridan City Council at Monday’s study session. Czaplinski said the City would be required to match 100 percent of the grant and that a quote for the new engine is approximately $1.3 million.  The City Council is expected to consider the resolution to apply for the MRG grant at their business meeting Monday, February 2.
