Registration open for Science Kids summer programs

Registration is open for this summer’s Science Kids programs in Sheridan.
Established in 2009, Science Kids is a program that aims to provide outdoor science education opportunities for children ages 6 to 12 years. Participants explore outdoor natural habitats on both private and public lands.
Classes are limited to 12 children, and safety is a priority according to the organization’s website.
Nine classes will be offered this summer, starting in June, and all are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Classes vary in length from two to four days, and topics will range from insects and birds to gardens and how to photograph nature.
A tuition is charged for each class, but scholarships are available based on need.
