Getting Vaccinated

During a recent appearance on our news talk show Public Pulse, Sheridan County Commissioner Christi Haswell was asked if she would be taking the COVID-19 vaccine when it is available. Haswell said she will most definitely be getting vaccinated when the time comes.
Commissioner Terry Cram echoed Haswell’s thoughts on taking the vaccine.
Dr. John Addlesperger, the hospital’s chief medical officer, said the state is expected to release a priority list for the vaccine, which he believes will help determine who gets the vaccine and when. He said he believes patients over the age of 70 will be in the next group to be vaccinated, as well as other essential workers. As of Wednesday, over 200 of Sheridan Memorial Hospital’s staff had been vaccinated against COVID-19.

I have not read any where that this vaccine will prevent a person from getting the virus. I have heard reports of adverse reactions to some people who have taken the vaccine. I am not fully convinced it is safe in the long run. Look at Metformin. Diabetics were prescribed this drug for years. Now it has been taken off the market because of its side effects. The new vaccines have skipped important steps before being used on humans. I think there has been a lot of dishonesty surrounding this so called pandemic . It appears that it is no worse than the seasonal flu.

Sorry you have been misinformed. Metformin is very much still on the market. There was a recall of some brands but it has never been removed the market

Wow. So we’re supposed to take the advice of a couple county commissioners on whether or not to take a vaccine that was developed in less than a year and has already been shown to send people into anaphylactic shock. No thanks, I’d rather just get sick and get over it like 99.95% of people do. Anybody else detect a hint of a threat coming from Christi… the whole “vaccinate or else” rhetoric is gaining momentum.

A little math here would help
6 people with anaphylaxis (not fatal) out of 1 000 0000 vaccinated is . 0006 %
Your numbers : 99.95% Leaves .05% death(?) rate
That is 83 times more than anaphylactic rate…..
Are you playing those odds?
