Buffalo Council Discusses Water Line, Building Inspector

Buffalo City Councilman Travis Lawrence asked City Attorney Ben Kirven about the status of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concerning the water line agreement for the new veterans skilled nursing facility to be built in Buffalo.

The MOU between the city, Johnson County, and the State of Wyoming, State Construction Department, Construction Management Division concerns the Veterans’ Skilled Nursing Facility that will be constructed at the Wyoming Veterans Home west of Buffalo, for a waterline to take city water to the new facility.

Councilman Lawrence also asked about the search for a new building inspecto r.

Current Building Inspector Toby Rhoades said he isn’t part of the interview committee so he has no information other than they have conducted at least one interview with a candidate that is still in the running for the position.

Rhoades will retire at the beginning of 2021.
