Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon provided an update at a news briefing this week on the spending of the federal funding the State received in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

CARES Act Allocations

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security, or CARES Act, was passed by Congress with overwhelming, bipartisan support and signed into law by President Trump on March 27th. Wyoming received $1.25 billion in CARES Act funding, and in May, the Wyoming Legislature held a special session to craft legislation directing how the funds would be spent. Governor Gordon recently provided an update on how the funds are being allocated.
