The Sheridan County Commission considered a grant application through the Wyoming Department of Transportation for funding of a proposed greenspace project on Brooks Street adjacent to the county courthouse.

County Planner Ken Muller gave more details on the grant and the project.

The grant, if awarded to the county, would provide $80,000in Federal funding and with a $20,000 local match, there would be $100,000 available for the design phase of the project, according to Muller.

He said the county should know if they were successful in their application in October.

The county commission voted to approve the grant application for the project.

All of this busy work being done before telling the residents of Sheridan, plainly, that Brooks St. Hill would be permanently closed. Arguments can be made either way, but this is NOT transparent government.
