Sheridan County Coroner’s Office Confirms Human Remains Found to Be James “Bo” Galloway

The Sheridan County Coroner’s Office confirmed Monday that the human remains found last month on airport property to be that of James “Bo” Galloway. On the evening of January 5, 2026, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office contacted the County Coroner’s Office to notify the coroner that human remains were found by Sheridan County Airport personnel within the northern area of the airport.

The Sheridan County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to take possession of the human remains. A thorough scientific investigation by the Coroner’s Office concluded that there was no suspected foul play and confirmed the identity of the deceased by pathology, anthropology, odontology and DNA analysis. At this time, the Coroner’s Office has determined the case closed due to their scientific findings.
