Sheridan Commission OKs Vehicle Purchase for Coroner

At their regular meeting Tuesday the Sheridan County Commission approved the purchase of a pickup and topper for use by the Sheridan County Coroner’s Office.

Coroner Dr. Robert Byrd spoke to the commission about the vehicle and the need for it.

Byrd said his office spent months searching for the right vehicle for their needs and finally found one at Fremont Toyota.

Commissioner Christi Haswell said it is a needed purchase.

The commission approved $50,000 for the purchase of the 2024 Toyota Tundra SR and a topper with a cargo panel from Fremont Toyota of Sheridan.
