U.S. Senators John Barrasso (R-WY) and Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) joined Senator Mike Crap (R-ID) in introducing a bill aimed at preventing the Internal Revenue Service from using its $80 billion of funding for audits on Wyoming taxpayers and small businesses with taxable incomes below $400,000. Lummis said the IRS should never have received this massive increase in funding and their commonsense legislation will ensure that everyday, hard working American citizens are protected from IRS overreach.

Barrasso said President Biden and the Democrats want to empower the IRS to squeeze as much money as they can out of taxpayers and in addition to facing record-high inflation, this would make it even harder for families and small businesses to get by. He said the people of Wyoming and across the country want nothing to do with the Democrats’ plan to run the middle class dry.

Did you read the legislation? It specifically states that people and business below the $400,000 threshold are not affected by the IRA legislation. To paraphrase Wily Lohman “Audit the wealthy, because that’s where the money is.” If you’re so worried about the IRS being reinforced to a level where they can do their job perhaps you should advise your billionaire donors to quit cheating on their taxes.

Made a mistake in the earlier post: Wiley Sutton was the bank robber- Lohman was the sad salesman.

To the trolls who hate all that is Republican-remember that Biden also wanted your bank to report every transaction over $600 (coming or going) to the IRS. But pay no attention to the man behind the current….it will be ok.. you can trust the government….. After all, they know what is best for us more than we do..
