Sheridan Broncs Boys Basketball Runs Over Riverton In First Round Of 2022 State Tournament

Sheridan needed a fast start at the state tournament and they got it.
The Broncs jumped out to an 18-3 lead, saw their advantage shrink to 5, then recovered to blow out Riverton 57-32, in the first round of the 2022 4A Boys Basketball State Tournament.
Sean Sanders led all scorers with 13 points, while Alex Sanders add in 11.
Sheridan shot 44.4% from the field (20 of 45), while Riverton was 26.2% (11 of 42).
The Broncs won several other facets of the game, besides the final score.
Those categories were points off of turnovers (23-9), and bench scoring (15-2).
The most notable stat was the Wolverines made zero 3’s in 9 attempts, while Sheridan was 5 of 13.
With the win, the East conference sweeps the West in the first round.
The Broncs will play in the semi-finals on Friday, March 11th at 9pm vs. Cheyenne East at the Ford Wyoming Center.
