Sheridan County High School Basketball Recap: February 1-5, 2022

Teams are now halfway through the conference/quadrant portion of their schedule.

Sheridan Boys:

Sheridan’s trip to Cheyenne did not go well.

On Friday, the Broncs lost at Central 53-45, and then lost at East on Saturday 59-48.

Sheridan is 12-3 on the season and 2-3 in the 4A East.

The Broncs return home on Friday, February 11th vs. Cheyenne South (7pm tip-off) and then host Laramie on Saturday (2pm tip-off)

Sheridan Girls:

The Lady Broncs also went 0-2 on their Cheyenne road trip.

Sheridan lost on Friday at Cheyenne Central 38-34, and the lost Saturday at Cheyenne East 69-39.

The Lady Broncs are 8-7 on the season, and 1-4 in the 4A East.

Sheridan is home on Friday, February 11th vs. Cheyenne South (5:30pm tip-off) and then host Laramie on Saturday (12:30pm tip-off).

Big Horn Boys:

Playing 4 games in 5 days, BH went 2-2 in that stretch.

On Tuesday, the Rams won the make-up game at Sundance 51-44, then lost at Tongue River on Thursday 51-31.

On Friday Big Horn lost via buzzer beater at Newcastle 31-29, but rebounded on Saturday winning home vs. Greybull 47-35.

BH is 8-9 on the season, and 2-2 in the 2A Northeast.

The Rams are back in action on Friday, February 11th at Moorcroft (5:30pm tip-off) and then return home Saturday vs. Sundance (4pm tip-off).

Big Horn Girls:

The Lady Rams went 1-3 this week and snapped a 9-game losing streak in the process.

On Tuesday, BH lost their make-up game at Sundance 41-28, then lost at Tongue River on Thursday 50-14.

On Friday, Big Horn lost at Newcastle 53-6, and then won home vs. Greybull 38-32

BH is 2-15 on the season, and 0-4 in the 2A Northeast.

The Lady Rams are back in action on Friday, February 11th at Moorcroft (4pm tip-off) and then return home Saturday vs. Sundance (2:30pm tip-off).

Tongue River Boys:

The Eagles had their 14-game win streak snapped this week, but managed to go 2-1 on the weekend.

On Thursday TR beat rival Big Horn 51-31, but lost home to Rocky Mountain on Friday 64-50.

On Saturday Tongue River won at Sundance 71-47.

Tongue River is 16-3 on the season, and 6-0 in the 2A Northeast.

TR plays at Wright on Friday, February 11th (4:30pm tip-off), and then play in the home finale on Saturday vs. Thermopolis (3:30pm tip-off).

Tongue River Girls:

The Lady Eagles went 1-2 on the week.

On Thursday, Tongue River won at home vs. Big Horn 50-14, but then lost home vs. Rocky Mountain on Friday 59-27, then lost on Saturday at Sundance 43-34.

TR is 7-12 on the season, and 3-3 in the 2A Northeast.

The Lady Eagles play at Wright on Friday, February 11th (3pm tip-off), and then play in the home finale on Saturday vs. Thermopolis (2pm tip-off).

Arvada-Clearmont Boys:

The Panthers are still looking for their first win of the season.

On Saturday, A-C lost home vs. Midwest 50-34.

Arvada-Clearmont is 0-16 on the season, with an 0-4 record in the 1A Northeast.

The Panthers next scheduled game is on Friday, February 11th at Hulett (5pm tip-off) and return home on Saturday vs. Upton (4pm tip-off).

Arvada-Clearmont Girls:

The Lady Panthers went 2-1 on the week.

On Tuesday A-C lost at Kaycee 47-24, then won at home on Thursday vs. Sundance’s JV 38-24, and won at home on Saturday vs. Midwest 39-24.

Arvada-Clearmont is 6-8 on the season, with a 2-2 record in the 1A Northeast.

The Lady Panthers next scheduled game is on Friday, February 11th at Hulett (3pm tip-off) and return home on Saturday vs. Upton (1pm tip-off).
