Timothy Gallagher Lohof

Timothy Gallagher Lohof, 67, passed away October 10, 2026, at home with his wife, Lisa, by his side. He was born June 16, 1959, to Jack and Kay Lohof and was raised on the Quarter Circle U Ranch. Tim was driving the hay stacker by age 9 under the tutelage of Butch Fjell. He attended Birney School in Montana through 7th grade, and then Tim became a star football and basketball player at Big Horn School in Wyoming.

He attended Rocky Mountain College before returning to work on the Quarter Circle U Ranch, where he developed several hay meadows. Tim was a good all-around hand and was always in demand for brandings, shippings, and fire fighting. Tim loved fighting fire and saved many homes and much grass over the years.

Tim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lisa Little Lohof, two daughters, Kirtlye and Lynon Lohof, two brothers, Patrick and Mike Lohof, and a sister, Marlene Lohof. The greater Birney Community will greatly miss Tim. May he rest in peace.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2pm at the Birney Cemetery followed by a gathering at the Main Quarter Circle U Ranch House.
