Sheridan HS Girls Basketball: The Sheridan Lady Bronc basketball team righted the ship to some degree this past weekend with conference wins at Laramie and at Cheyenne South.

Coach Ryan Sullivan explains what corrective action was used.

Sullivan adds Hanft’s injury is not as bad compared to when it happened late in the volleyball season.

Whether she plays this weekend or not remains to be seen.

Sheridan is scheduled to play Friday at Campbell County and on Saturday at home vs. Thunder Basin.


Big Horn HS Girls Basketball: The regular season for High School Basketball is a little more than half over, and for the first time in a while at this point of the season, the Big Horn Lady Rams do not have a losing record.

BH evened up their record at 7-7 this past weekend with wins at home vs. Moorcroft, and then surprised Sundance on the road.

Lady Rams Head Coach Coty Nikont says more players are starting to come out for the team, and that makes a difference, especially in practice.

Big Horn next plays Friday at Wright and on Saturday at home vs. Rocky Mountain.

The last time the Lady Rams played in the state tournament, was back in 2019.


University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back in action today, as the team hosts Fresno State.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

As for the Wyoming Cowgirls, for the second time this season, an in-state player has won weekly conference honors.

Allyson Fertig has been named the Mountain West Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

In the 2 games played last week she averaged 24.5 points, 12 rebounds and shot a little better than 59%.

During Saturday’s loss to Colorado State she scored 34 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.

She leads the conference in scoring with 19.2 points per game, rebounding with 10 per game and field goal percentage at 58.7%.

The Cowgirls are back in action tomorrow at San Jose State.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost last night at Chicago, 129-121.

The Nuggets next play tomorrow at New York.
